-------- The Big Impactt
The Big Impact deals with events and situations that have significantly affected the world. Stop The Madness is a large piece that graphically splays the horror of global terrorism using a scattered mélange of vignettes representing disastrous episodes taking place in differing cultures. Hurricane is a triptych, which presents the aftermath of hurricane Sandy’s destruction along a segment of the east coast shoreline in New Jersey, perhaps the hardest hit portion of the storm. Cultural movements that instigate, press and instill changes in society, such as Making It Count, depicting a gathering of important leaders in the Women’s Liberation movement, and Hands Across The Sands, a representation of the effort created to gather support in protesting ocean drilling, are examples of Big Impact themes that find their way into my mode of expression.
